- The University of Georgia was the first Southern university
—and one of the first in the nation—to establish
a school of business. The School of Commerce , as it was
known then, was founded in 1912.
- Today, the Terry College of Business is consistently ranked
among the top 20 public business schools by U.S. News &
World Report and other publications.
- The Terry MBA program's average admission test score of 651 on the GMAT places it among the 20 highest averages for public business schools nationally.
- The Terry College is home to several nationally ranked academic programs. As measured by U.S. News & World Report, they include Insurance (2nd), Real Estate (3rd), Management Information Systems (11th) and Accounting (19th).
- Terry’s full-time MBA program is ranked 34th in the country among business schools with regional recruiting patterns by The Wall Street Journal, up from 43rd. The Journal ranking is the only one that is based solely on the opinions and behaviors of MBA recruiters who hire full-time business school graduates.
