Building the New Learning Environment

  • Building a new state-of-the-art pharmacy facility for classrooms, labs and offices.
  • Creating endowed scholarships and fellowships.
  • Creating endowed chairs and professorships.

Maximizing Research Opportunities

  • Program endowments in drug discovery and development.
  • Increase strength of existing research programs, such as the development of anti-cancer agents and of compounds to fight the AIDS virus.
  • Research in biochemical pharmacology.

Competing in the Global Economy

  • Strengthening residency programs.
  • Increasing student enrollment and diversity to meet the demand for graduates in pharmaceutical care and biomedical and clinical research.
  • Strengthening and broadening clinical programs.
  • Facilitating the first partnership between the American Medical Association and the Center for Disease Control to research bioterrorism procedures.
